This restaurant is the best decision we made on our Scotland trip so far. Here’s some things my family said while we were eating: “I would walk 5000 miles for this meal.” - mother “If I had one last meal on this planet earth...” - brother “Fantastic and generous portions” - father “I need a full minute where no one talks to me to process this contentment.” - me Excellent points: local fresh ingredients, fish from the lake nearby, really nice staff, super accommodating for gluten free stuff, literally everything. Also I’m writing this while still in the restaurant because I couldn’t wait.
The owner and staff were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions. This was some of the best food we had on our entire trip in Scotland! I would recommend calling to make a reservation in advance.
It has now been my good fortune to dine at this gem of a restaurant a good few times. The quality of the food, the warmth of the reception and the cosy atmosphere make Moss a fixture now on my visits back to my homeland of the West Highlands. Chef Katy is a culinary alchemist conjuring fantastic flavours out of every ingredient to hand. I can highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit.
This cozy, unassuming restaurant serves some of the best food in the area. The atmosphere is very homey and intimate. It feels as though someone has turned their living room into a restaurant. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. All of the food was delicious! My favourite was the corn. So simple, yet so flavourful. Don’t skip their home made desserts!
The best food we ate in Scotland. Just wow!! So friendly and the food is delicious!
Fantastic host, great chef and very friendly Staff, everything freshly made. Lovely crumble and bitter choc cake. Pie was freshly made, venison sausages tasty. Fishcake starter was delicious with a nice salad.
From delicious sea food, to outstanding service. Everything at Moss was exceptional. I had the scollops to start, with muscles and bread as a main. I would highly recommend both. The menu and vibe would not be out of place among east London’s cutest restaurants. The staff even gifted my friend a lovely birthday present for her 30th. If you are staying around Glencoe, please make a stop here.
Moss was the best meal I’ve eaten in all of the UK! Katie, the chef (and team) were incredible, and every dish is unique and refined. It is creative, delicious food in a cozy yet lovely atmosphere! Thrilled to have had the chance to dine here!
